  These guys would have hit 5 stars if they would include at least one basket of chips with a side of salsa with an order.  I totally get not providing all you can eat chips and salsa but one gratis order for your patrons shows an appreciation.  The tacos were also super small about 3 bites but they were delicious ($2.25)
  
  Prices are fair and the food has delicious flavor.  I also really like atmosphere and decor.  
  The service was friendly. They were super busy so it took a while to get our tacos but I think we just came at a busy time.  
  
  Would go back for sure!

  Seats, tables, floor were dirty. Staff was abrupt and condescending, treating us like we were a nuisance.
  
  We both had chicken burritos, and they were bland at best.
  
  Worse yet, we both had serious gastrointestinal repercussions from eating here! :((
  
  We definitely will not be back.

  I had been to Taco's Jalisco a couple years ago, where I purchased some tacos and then headed to Donner lake to enjoy some fun in the sun. I heard they had recently remodeled and Nick and I decided to take a trip to Truckee. Tacos Jalisco is located in a small shopping center next to 7 eleven. The restaurant itself is brightly lit and warmly decorated. Staff is friendly and welcoming. Incredibly fresh tasty authentic Mexican food. We ordered a molcajete, Chimichanga and chicken taco. The portions are huge chimichanga was really tasty. The molcajete was a little different than what I am used to. The molcajetes that I have had in the past add cheese, this one did not however they did have a side of rice and beans. The chicken taco was overloaded with spices and condiments (great flavor). Looking forward to more trips to truckee for good food, and affordable prices !

  Simple is often darn good.
  
  Tacos Jalisco doesn't look like much. But when you see the numbers of locals there it will convince you that good is just good no matter the presentation of ambiance.
  
  We ordered four tacos, two carnitas and two carne Asada, chips and rice and beans.
  
  All authentic and lovingly prepared.
  
  Are on the patio. Beautiful Tahoe sunset. Included at no extra charge.

  The two-star "meh" describes our experience. Chips were tasteless. The red sauce (after I requested green sauce) on my enchilada tasted weirdly like ketchup. I asked for ground beef on my tostada and got shredded beef. The guacamole had an effervescence to it, like it had gone bad. Lettuce was wilted. Taco salad was loaded up with so much sauce it wasn't really a salad any more. Dry rice and runny beans. We came here because we've had ok experiences in the past and La Bamba was closed that day. However - I doubt we'll come here again, unfortunately.
